Physics is the branch of science that deals with the structure of matter and how the fundamental constituents of the universe interact. It studies objects ranging from the very small using quantum mechanics to the entire universe using general relativity. Physics often enable advances in new technologies in the branches of electromagnetism, solid-state physics, and nuclear physics led directly to the development of new products that have dramatically transformed modern-day society, such as television, computers, domestic appliances, and nuclear weapons, etc. The Department of Physics, Kisan Veer Mahavidyalaya, Wai was established in the year 1982. The Department will complete about 40 years of existence. It offers graduate courses leading to the Bachelor of Science. In addition to that short-term certificate courses are also undertaken by the Department. Department organizes excursions, Industrial Visits, Project work regularly to encourage innovative and analytical approaches among the students. All colleagues strive hard to cultivate a research attitude amongst students through academic activities such as quizzes, seminars and workshops.
