On-Campus Placement

A placement drive in a college, also known as campus placement or campus recruiting, is a program where companies visit campuses to hire students. The process involves multiple stages, such as pre-placement talks, aptitude and technical tests, group discussions, and personal interviews. During On-campus placements, the college sets up programs or drives and different recruiters visit the campus for selection of candidates. The college, being one of the best rural colleges affiliated to Shivaji University, Kolhapur, has developed links with the top recruiters.

The companies conduct several rounds of tests and interviews. Students participating in on campus drives face competition from their peers. Students who excel in all the rounds of interviews are provided a relevant job profile by the recruiting company. This way students are able to secure a job profile even before their graduation is completed.

Off-Campus Placement

Off-campus placements are organized outside the college campus. The competition in the off-campus placements is greater as compared to the on-campus placements. The student has to be better amongst the best to stand out from the rest of the candidates; then only he/she can secure a place among millions of students applying for the same post. There is a better chance to get the right placement and package according to the talent of the student in off-campus placements.

The faculty of the college provide assistance to the students to face off-campus placements when conducted outside the campus. They help the students to prepare their CVs/resumes to send to the recruiting companies.

The faculty identifydiverse skill sets and varied talents among the students and encourage such students to apply for different posts in off-campus placements.

The faculty also help the students to search for job opportunities through off-campus recruitment agencies, hiring websites, or directly reaching out to the company.

Pool Campus Placement

Pool campus is a part of on-campus placements, which means if there are colleges under the affiliation of the university then the students of all the colleges under the affiliated universities can attend the placement drives of the university or the allotted campus. It is similar to campus drive only but the major difference is that instead of just one college in an on-campus drive, here multiple college students can attend and participate in the pool placement drives, required that they are invited by the university under which several colleges are affiliated, of which student is a part of.

Shivaji University, Kolhapur, to which the college is affiliated, organizes Pool campus placements drives and invites the college students to attend and participate such drives on a regular basis.
